The future of The Random Forest, goodbye friends.

I am sorry that I have not been around very much recently. As most of you may know, I have been in Vermont for the last few weeks and blogging has been hard to get around to.

Also, the time away from blogging and other life factors have made me realize that I may not want to carry on this path for much longer.

I call Vermont the run-away state. Whilst I have been here some things have changed in me. Like many in Vermont, I feel like a run away. I have been meeting some great people and they made me look long and hard at some things in my life.

The Green Mountain Faction for Peace are a group of like minded people that I met and they have given me an opportunity to leave behind the pressures of our modern world and join them in their commune. No electricity, so no blogging. In fact they are against technology and have really put a good case forward to me.

I know we have things like Wikipedia and You Tube. The Internet gives us the whole world at our feet, but have we lost ourselves?

The Green Mountain Faction for Peace show us that life does not need mobile phones, television, computers and especially the Internet. We can learn through stories around the campfire, knowledge from our fore fathers and we can learn to work harmoniously with those we call our enemies.

We think that technology helps us but i you look at it in reality, it is a hindrance.
We use washer machines daily in our lives but in the past this was a social event. The women of the village could discuss the days news and issues and things could be worked out and knowledge furthered in a social, healthy environment.
Since phones and email have been in use, people no longer speak face to face. How can you tell if someone is lying in an email? You can’t, we need face to face social stimulation to grow as healthy happy human beings.

Sure, I will miss the computer and maybe even you guys, but it’s for the greater good and I believe that if we all stepped back into smaller communities and reassessed our lives that we could make a better world.

I will stop by a few more times to read any comments. However, as of tomorrow, The Random Forest will be virtual no more. I will create and breath a real Random Forest for myself, with real people.

Maybe you can look me up one day.

Peace and Love…

Happy April Fools day.

I was with you until you mentioned The Green Mountain Faction for Peace (I presume it’s not real?), thought you were gonna say you were going travelling.

Good one man, have a good day!

    Thanks for stopping by guys.

Sadly I decided to say as I missed the commune meeting this morning and have been kicked out.

I suppose technology isn’t that bad!
