Happy Canada Day
A little late I know!!
Here in Quebec it’s also known as Moving Day where all the students head home. I guess this is so people celebrate St Jean Baptist Day rather than Canada Day! If I am unfounded please let me know :

So what did a Brit so far from home do on Canada Day in qbc. You didnt help someone move did you? And yes you are correct for one reason or another Canada Day is one of the biggest days (holidays) in Canada.
WHY, I have no Freaking idea.
I personally partied ’till the wee hours, Spent most of the day on or around parliament hill, with the occasional break from the sun in a pub for a drink or two. Got separated from my group for about 2hrs so I ducked into a bar and had drinks with some japanese tourists. What a blast that was, and man my japanese is REALLY bad. I didnt know the japanese could drink like they do. Then as I was going to the bathroom my cell phone rings and I dropped it in the urinal. Trying to pee drink stand still and talk on the phone is quite the feat. Was one of my buddies having realized I was missing (jerk- took 2hrs to figure it out). Anyhoo was good fun.
Then headed back to a friends place for a BBQ and some celebratory drinks, then went to watch the fireworks, froma secret and unknown spot here In ottawa. Surprised actually that so few people know about it. But I will say that we were more r less right underneath the display of lights in the sky, which was VERY COOL
