Ladies and Gentlemen… Mr Patton has entered the building….

As I keep saying, I have been very busy lately with various design projects. One of the projects I have had the fortune on working on is the redesign and readying of the theme for a great new blogging friend of mine Big Ben Patton.

What originally started of as a 125×125 banner design job ended up us working through and re-skinning his entire theme ready for a great relaunch on September 1st.

Here is what it now looks like:

I have gotten to know Ben and his blog pretty well over the last few weeks and honestly have to say that the professional yet very friendly, helpful and social way he approaches the business of blogging is inspirational.

Ben is pushing towards a focused approach to help newbie Internet Marketers find their way around and get a good grounding…. Ben’s site definitely fits into the handful of sites I would recommend to any newbie. He is inspirational.

Some of his recent best posts include:

10 Absolute Must Know Tips For Internet Marketers , Blogs in Space and The Importance of a Single Static Social Profile.

This is NOT a paid post and I genuinely recommend his site, so please wander over and give him some social networking love and appreciation.

Also see him in action and vote him up on BlogGears….

It has been my pleasure to work with you Forest, top notch talent and timely results, even when monkey wrenches were being tossed into the works from all directions. Thank you for the kind words and I look forward to future business with you.

Hey Forest, it sure seems like you’ve been busy! Great job. The site looks great. Good luck to Big Ben.

I have lurked over at Ben’s site before and agree, very useful and honest info.
“reskinned” his blog? Does that mean you keep all the guts the same but make it ‘prettier?’
    I like that idea.

@Ben… pleasure working with you too. I look forward to all future projects :) :)
@Joe, thanks :) Always good to have the ImWithJoe Seal of Approval :)

@Jeff, Thanks too…. yes I have been a very busy bee

@Allyn… you hit the nail on the head with the re-skin thing. His theme pretty much still functions the same but was just rearranged a little here and there. In my opinion this is often the best and most cost efficient way to get a personal looking site. You can get some great free themes that offer lots of functions that you would pay a lot of money for…. but they often look butt ugly!

    Hi, Forest:
I was just over at Ben Patton’s blog, and was actually making a mental note of his groovy theme. I had no idea, you were behind the look, i quite like what you did with it.

Do you develop wordpress themes? If so, i’m looking to commission someone for an idea i have, just can’t afford the big time dudes for now. If you’re rates are on the cheap side, i might be able to avail of your services.

    Let me know. Thx!
